''The Honeymoon Killers'' were an American noise rock band from New York City, formed in 1984. Their name is taken from the 1970 crime film ''The Honeymoon Killers''.〔Leland, John, Robbins, Ira, Sprague, David.("HONEYMOON KILLERS" ). trouserpress.com. Later line-ups would consist of members of like-minded bands such as Boss Hog, Pussy Galore, and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. The Honeymoon Killers' sound is deeply rooted in the blues, earning them comparisons to The Cramps, whom Teel has great admiration for.〔Limnios, Michalis.("An Interview with Jerry and Pauline Teel of Chicken Snake" ). Blues.Gr. 2012. Retrieved August 5, 2012.〕 The group disbanded in 1994, with its leader Jerry Teel joining the Chrome Cranks.〔 == Discography == ;Studio albums *''The Honeymoon Killers from Mars'' (1984, Fur Records) *''Love American Style'' (1985, Fur Records) *''Let It Breed'' (1986, Fur Records) *''Turn Me On'' (1988, Buy Our Records) *''Hung Far Low'' (1991, Fistpuppet) ;EPs *''Take It Off!''
